It's Time for a WAKE UP CALL!
Then, in the distance, the familiar sound of an elk bugle is heard. Above all the other signs of a change of season, this signals the arrival of Fall for most of us here in Yellowstone. Anyone who has ever witnessed the elk rut will tell you it's one of the most exciting events that take place in the Park. Bulls joust for dominance, gather cows in harems, and bellow their Wake Up Call into the cool morning air. A challenge bugle may be returned from another bull in the area...then the "fun" begins.
With skillful paintbrush strokes, artist Nancy Glazier has been capturing this dramatic event for years. Once again, she has nailed it! Wake Up Call exhibits the artist's amazing ability to illustrate this exciting moment in time.
