Artist Shlomo Shuval created a unique process so that these wildlife and landscape photographic images appear to be engraved in the rock itself. As the contour, color and shading of every slate frame is different, each image is a unique work of art.
The process yields not just a photo on a rock, but a new creation. The depth, fine gradations and shading of each unique piece of slate combine to create a timeless, three- dimensional effect, turning every Slate frame into a unique piece of hand crafted art.
These Slate images make excellent wall hangings or can be stood on forged metal easels which are included with each piece. Sierra Slate framed images are an ideal, affordable home décor.
The slate pictures are created by a permanent, silkscreen like process. This is an entirely "green" company. No photochemicals or toxins are used in any aspect of the production operation.
