Limited Edition Prints are signed and numbered reproductions of an artist's original work. Modern printmakers take advantage of all of today's technology and skillfully work with the artist to insure that the reproduction accurately portrays the original artwork. A limited number of prints are made and then the printer's plates are destroyed to guarantee that the buyers of these prints are assured to have one of a limited number. Therefore, these works become collectible when the entire edition of the prints are sold out. Market prices usually increase the value of sold-out editions.
