Leaves have an intricate structure and natural symmetry - a fragile beauty that is normally hidden & transient, like that of a snowflake, or a spiderweb.
In 1993, craftsman Booker Morey discovered the art of etching leaves. He removes the fabric of the leaf, revealing and retaining the intricate lacy interior. The leaves are hand-treated and infused with color to replicate nature's hues. Otherwise, they would turn brown over time. Then he arranges the leaves artistically and meticulously, placing them in a beautiful shadowbox frame, chosen for its quiet elegance and enhancement of the leaf's complex natural pattern.
